Caregiving is a BITCH! It's as unique as YOU are, as your L.O. is or are, as your family situation calls for... etc., Etc., ETC!....(((Big exhale)))

And EVERY day there is something new to learn, know, figure out, research, find out, handle, pray for, cuss out loud about...

Let's not get this confused with the 1,000s upon 1,000s of various situations out there. So, what is mine? Going back in time to cover 18 months is too difficult! Not necessarily heart wrenching, just too much to remember. Going back to 2016.... even worse! I'm thinking that it will come out a little at a time. Stick Around...

Today it is dealing with Express Scripts, the PCP, and the medical assistants at the Memory Care Facility. Momma is O.U.T. of her meds. Express scripts is the favored method of TriCare (military medical insurance).

Found out 4 days ago, that TriCare does not want Momma's meds filled through a regular pharmacy anymore. It will not pay anymore; MUST go through Express scripts. OR... I can pay about $1,000 for each of the Diabetic Insulins that Momma NEEDS. WTF happened to the (apparently just an) "idea" of $35 insulins????

ONCE the prescriptions are sent to them... thank goodness they gave me a Fax number to have the PCP send it to.... it will take 7 days to process. REALLY??? 7 days to process.

FOUR days ago, I notified the PCP.... meds about OUT, must send to Express Scripts per TriCare. That call, by the PCP, coulda and SHOULDA been made... FOUR DAYS AGO. NOW, certain meds ARE OUT, FOUR days LATER! In the next few days the INSULIN will be O.U.T. That is not a good thing.... NOPE!
